Ads for Authors

I've been trying to revive my career as a full-time author. I currently have five books that I've published, but without some way to advertise them, the sales have become very anemic. Last year I decided that I was going to spend a bunch of money to hire a company to do an extensive advertising campaign to help boost my sales. I spent $5,000 on the advertising campaign with great hopes that my sales would jump. Guess what happened? Almost nothing!!! It was very frustrating to spend so much money and only see a very, very small uptick in sales. I suppose that turned me off to spending much more on advertising.
Recently, I stumbled across Mark Dawson. He's a very successful indie author who does extensive advertising for his books on platforms like Facebook. After researching about him and what he does, I decided to join his Ads for Authors course. I also joined a closed Facebook group with other indie authors who have or are taking the course and am very excited to try out what I will be learning.
